Project Scope


Overhaul Sumo’s onboarding and the first-time user in-app experiences. UX team and I worked closely with the PM, Dev lead,s and company leads to re-imagine the most feasible and viable flows for our customers.

Audit, Workshop & Research


Through site mapping and user interviews, the UX team realizes the drop off is caused by the confusing multiple entries that were added through various requests and department misaligned priorities. Our first step is to conduct a workshop, points out the overwhelming customer journeys and inconsistent experience, so we can create a unifying path and breakdown the reachable goals.

Validation & User Testings


Quick prototype video shows boards the power of the simple onboarding experience.

User testing for the onboarding through the Shopify installs. Two different experiences both aim to help users feel rewarding after accomplishing series of features. These tests also attempt to validate features like tutorials, sequential features initiations, and paywall placement.

Design and improve segmented products like website, in-app experience, and dashboard.
